Happy Healthy Thanksgiving!

Have you planned your Thanksgiving menu yet? Only 2 days left!
Yesterday my missus posted vegetarian and vegetable side dish ideas and today I’m focusing on my bird (the turkey not my missus!).

If you haven’t picked out your turkey yet, read this. Not sure how to cook your turkey? Personally I’m a briner but salting is another great way to make sure your bird doesn’t dry out.

Below are some great options if you don’t feel like cooking a whole turkey and one option if you’re not a fan of the bird itself but still want to incorporate the Thanksgiving flavours.

Throwing in a healthy dessert for good measure

And for leftovers? A healthy salad to get you back on track and turn that turkey carcass into fresh homemade stock and make a soup!

The most original thing I did with my Thanksgiving menu is pay homage to my husband’s Indian heritage before the meal by having an appetizer tray that included Samosa and Deviled Eggs with a little Mango Chutney. They rest of the meal was fairly classic American Thanksgiving.
