The H.I. does Greenware

by Gavan on April 14, 2009

A key thing about this line is that it’s Teflon free! Also good to note, I primarily make scrambled egg whites, which do tend to stick a little more than if using whole eggs.
If you have these pans let me know what you think of them.

Great tip…thanks for doing this. I need a non-stick pan for exactly the same thing, egg whites.

I was curious to see how Greenware fared in actual use. I just recently bought a set of Emerilware stainless pots and pans (budget way to go to get All-Clad Stainless quality) and was looking at the Greenware. I gave them the scratch test with a key (yes I am that guy!) and I really had to dig to get even just a slight mark to show. The same scratch test on other non-stick brands did fare so well, some scratched down to bare metal.

Gavan, so many home cooks don’t realize the dangers that Teflon presents. We’ll be following how your Greenware fares after much use.
We here at Gourmet Girl Magazine had been using Infinite Circulon, but will now look closer at Cuisinart’s Greenware.
What’s your opinion on ceramic knives?

What a timely report on Greenware. I’m at that point with my Teflon pans and this seems to be the likely answer to my next set of pans. Thanks for sharing your info H.I.
